Q. How can I tell if a journal is peer-reviewed?

You can tell if a journal is peer-reviewed by checking the journal's website or by searching for the journal in Ulrich's Periodical Directory. To find Ulrich's from the library website, search A-Z databases under "U."

Once in Ulrich's, type the name of the journal in the search bar and look for the referee's jersey icon:

In Ulrich’s, peer-reviewed and refereed mean the same thing, and this icon shows that the journal is peer-reviewed. If you don’t see the referee’s jersey icon, the journal is not peer-reviewed.
